Tea and Quiet

‘Tis the season, as they say. Life is busy enough as it is, and now we rush around trying to get ready for Christmas. I feel as though it may whiz past me this year, whether I prepare for it or not. And yet somehow that’s okay.

I’m on the computer less, reading more. I’m writing less, playing more.

I’m finding quiet when I need it and where I can.

Are you?

Join Greta from Gfunkified and I for #iPPP (iPhone Photo Phun), a weekly link-up that requires nothing more than a blog post with a photo from a phone camera (any phone camera, not just iPhones). We want to see your funny, your yummy, your heartfelt, your favourite phone photos of the week.

This will be our last #iPPP link-up of the year. Happy holidays! We’ll see you again in the new year.

  1. Yes, somehow it will be okay. That’s what keeps us going, isn’t it?
(Also: is that chocolate next to that cup? Mmmmhhh, chocolate 😉 )

  2. I’m trying. I am thankful that I feel less stressed this holiday season. I am glad you are finding time to relax and “play” too. :)

  3. Tea and quiet sound perfect to me.
May your Christmas be joyful and stress-free. xo

  4. Last night after I put Eddie to bed, I spent only 15 minutes on my computer, turned it off, and read until I fell asleep. It was glorious.

  5. I’m sure trying, but with the busyness of it all, it’s hard!

  6. Since I’m home with the kids, this time of year doesn’t feel much different. I get some me time, here and there. Like you said, the holidays will happen no matter what.

  7. Yes, it is good to slow down and enjoy the quiet. I admit I have not been doing that yet – but it is definitely my plan. I just need to get a few more things done. :)

  8. Yes, most definitely! Me-time is even more important during crazy, stressful weeks like these. I’ve learned to prioritize and be OK with not everything getting done exactly the way I’d planned. You’re right: The holidays will still happen regardless of what does or doesn’t get done. Enjoy your quiet!

  9. I knew there was a reason I needed to come over and read this! It reminds me to enjoy what’s around me right now, and not escape into my computer. Lovely.

  10. Hope you had a great Christmas, Robin, and Happy New Year!
